Deborah-Fay Ndlovu is an experienced communications professional with a strong background in science journalism and capacity building for science media in Africa. Currently serving as a Corporate & Science Communication expert at the Science for Africa Foundation since October 2021, Ndlovu previously held various roles at The African Academy of Sciences from January 2015 to October 2022, including Communications Manager and Programme Lead for the Africa Science Desk. In these positions, Ndlovu successfully designed and implemented funding initiatives, oversaw training workshops for science journalists, and managed quality assurance and finance processes. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Journalist at Research Africa (Pty) Ltd from January 2007 to March 2015, where Ndlovu contributed to an online newsletter and mentored interns, along with a role as a Senior Business Reporter at The Standard from January 2005 to December 2006. Ndlovu holds a Master’s degree in Science Journalism from City, University of London and a BA (Honours) in English and Communication from Midlands State University.
