Cassie Martin is an experienced science communicator with a strong background in writing and editing within various scientific contexts. Currently serving as Deputy Managing Editor and Associate Editor at Science News Magazine since March 2016, Cassie manages editorial work for the Science News Learning program and edits multiple sections of the magazine. Previous positions include Science Writer at Oceans at MIT, where responsibilities encompassed reporting on ocean and climate-related research, and freelance writing for the Harvard University Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology. Cassie's editorial experience also includes roles at The Wildlife Society and various internships focused on media relations and research assistance.
