Lana Alabbasi

Lana Alabbasi is an accomplished founder and director of the Falak Research Program, the first space research mentorship initiative in Saudi Arabia, connecting students with experts for advanced research. Currently a Qimam Fellow, Lana was selected among the top 50 out of over 17,000 candidates for the prestigious program aimed at developing university students. Lana's research experience includes a summer fellowship at Caltech with the LIGO team, focusing on gravitational-wave observatory studies, and contributions to astrophysics research at the Cambridge Centre for International Research. Additional roles include mentorship positions and management of outreach programs in space science, showcasing a commitment to empowering youth in the scientific community. Lana is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Physics at King Abdulaziz University.
