Sheida Danesh is a Staff 1 Engineer at Scientific Applications and Research Associates (SARA) Inc., with expertise in simulation, modeling, algorithm development, and acoustic signal processing since June 2014. Prior to this role, Sheida served as a Research Assistant in the Laboratory for Autonomous Marine Sensing Systems at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where spatial analysis of deep ocean acoustic convergence zones and development of an algorithm for depth tracking a near-surface target were key contributions from September 2010 to May 2014. Earlier experience includes an internship at Hexagon Metrology, focusing on redesigning a heat temperature sensor and an optical configuration from June 2007 to September 2010. Sheida holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from MIT (2010-2012) and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rhode Island (2005-2010).
