Oraine Thompson

Oraine Thompson is a seasoned engineering professional with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Technology, Jamaica. Currently serving as a Process Development Officer at the Scientific Research Council since July 2022, Oraine facilitates scientific research and develops environmentally friendly waste management solutions in compliance with NEPA standards. Prior experience includes roles as a Project Engineer at Civex Consulting, overseeing construction management and infrastructure implementation, and as a Junior Civil Engineer at the Scientific Research Council, where Oraine participated in designing anaerobic wastewater systems and conducting feasibility studies. Oraine's career began as a Design Draftsman at Pace Electrical Works & Building Contractors, creating detailed AutoCAD drawings and performing engineering surveys. Educational background includes an Associate's degree in Natural Sciences from Morant Bay High.
