Joost Simons has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Joost has been the Head of IT, Security & Facility Management at Scildon since 2014, where they are responsible for managing both business and IT projects. Prior to that, Joost worked at Aon Risk Solutions, where they held various roles such as Head of IT, Global Products Group, Global Channel Manager, Senior Project Manager, Chief Architect, and Director Business Systems Solutions. In these positions, they led international teams, managed strategic application portfolios and programs, developed portal strategies, and directed IT strategy and architecture. Before joining Aon Risk Solutions, Joost worked as a (Managing) Consultant Business Communications at Rollins Hudig Hall.

Joost Simons has a diverse educational background in various fields. In 1991, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Information Science from De Haagse Hogeschool / The Hague University of Applied Sciences. In 2000, they furthered their education by completing a program in Information Technology from the Society for Information Management. In 2008, Joost pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in General Management from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, which they completed in 2010. Continuing their educational journey, they engaged in post-HBO studies in Hogere Bedrijfskunde at ISBW Opleiding & Training from 1999 to 2000. In 2014, Joost broadened their expertise by gaining coaching skills and becoming a Certified NLP Trainer from the NLP Academie, a certification they kept actively until 2016. Concurrently, in 2016, they completed Masterclasses in Marketing from NCOI University of Applied Sciences. Additionally, Joost attained a Professional Coach (NOBCO) certification in 2016 from ICM opleidingen & trainingen. Most recently, in 2023, they acquired the Certified Security Information Manager (CSIM) designation from ISACA, specializing in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance.
