Asim Hussain

Asim Hussain has extensive experience in finance and business. Asim currently holds the position of Chief Operating Officer IB / Chief Financial Officer at Scilife Pharma (Pvt.) Limited, a role they have held since March 2023. Prior to this, they were the Director of Finance & int. Business at the same company starting from October 2016.

Before joining Scilife Pharma, Asim worked at Genix Pharma (Private) Limited as the GM Finance/international Business from May 2012 to October 2016. In this role, they were responsible for all financial matters within the organization and worked closely with the CEO/MD.

From April 2010 to May 2012, Asim served as the Financial Controller at Martin Dow Pharmaceuticals Limited. Their responsibilities included monitoring and enforcing operational and internal controls, preparing feasibilities, evaluating emerging projects, and presenting financial information to management.

Prior to that, Asim worked at Getz Pharma (Pvt) Ltd. as the Manager of Cost, Budget, and Financial Reporting from January 2007 to April 2010. In this role, they were responsible for various financial tasks, including performance analysis, variance analysis, and cost management.

From March 2005 to December 2006, Asim held the position of Deputy Manager of Cost and Budget at Habib oil (Pvt) Ltd, where they focused on implementing efficient cost accounting and budgetary systems.

At Pakland Corporation (Pvt) Ltd, Asim started as Assistant Manager Finance in August 2000 and was promoted to Manager Finance in November 2003. In these roles, they managed working capital, controlled factoring of receivables, implemented systems and procedures, performed audits, and prepared financial statements. Asim also assisted in budget preparation and oversaw the payment process.

Overall, Asim Hussain has a strong background in finance and has held various managerial roles in which they demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, cost control, and implementation of financial systems and procedures.

Asim Hussain attended ICMAP from 1998 to 2003, where they pursued a degree in Finance and Accountancy. Asim successfully completed the program and obtained an ACMA degree.
