Jason Mak is a Silicon Photonics Engineer at SCINTIL Photonics since January 2022, focusing on device and circuit development, layout, and testing for heterogeneously integrated III-V on Silicon platforms. Prior experience includes serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Toronto from December 2019 to December 2021, where collaboration with SCINTIL Photonics involved photonics design for platform development, and at the Max Planck Institute of Microstructure Physics from December 2018 to November 2019, concentrating on the development of a silicon nitride visible light foundry platform. Earlier experience includes a position at AMD in 2011-2012 as a PEY intern. Jason Mak holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and a BASc in Engineering Science (Physics) from the University of Toronto, completed in 2018 and 2013, respectively, and graduated from Unionville High School.
