Erik Wilbrink has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over three decades. Erik currently serves as the Chief Commercial Officer at Micronit, a leading innovator and global contract development and manufacturing partner of microfluidics-based consumables for life science and health applications. Erik is responsible for offering total solutions from design, development, prototyping, and manufacturing, which contribute to the quality of life.
Prior to their role at Micronit, Erik was the Co-founder and investor at Scinvivo B.V., where they focused on optical biopsy for cancer diagnostics. Erik addressed the limitations of current imaging techniques for bladder cancer by enabling urologists to accurately visualize the bladder wall surface, reducing the incorrect classification of healthy tissue as cancerous.
Before that, Erik worked at Innoluce BV, an Infineon company, where they held the positions of Director of Business Development and Chief Commercial Officer & investor. At Innoluce, they played a crucial role in making LIDAR an affordable feature for every new-built car worldwide and led the development of cutting-edge laser scanner modules for various applications, including automotive active safety and minimally invasive medical diagnostics.
In addition, Erik served as the VP of Sales & Marketing at Xsens before its acquisition by Fairchild Semiconductor. There, they led the sales and marketing team in guiding Xsens' rapid development and global growth in 3D motion tracking technology.
Erik's earlier experiences include working as the Manager of Business Development at Novay, Commercial Manager at Be Value (acquired by Ordina), and Account Director Outsourcing at T-Systems. Erik also held various roles within HP, including Account Business Manager for the Telco Industry and Enterprise Account Manager for KPN Qwest. Erik began their career at KPN, where they held a variety of positions.
Throughout their career, Erik has consistently demonstrated their expertise in business development, commercial leadership, and innovation in the technology and healthcare sectors.
Erik Wilbrink completed their MSc (ir.) in Business Information Technology from the University of Twente during the period from 1984 to 1989. Later, from 1994 to 1996, they pursued their education at the Open Universiteit, where they focused on NIMA-A & B. Details about the degree obtained from the Open Universiteit are not provided.
