Scott Rankin

Scott Rankin is an accomplished professional in the field of instrumentation and analytical science, currently serving as an Instrument Developer at SCION Instruments since October 2022, contributing to the R&D team and the development of the GC product line. Prior experience includes serving as Head of Hardware Development at Anpera Technologies, where Scott played a pivotal role in establishing a start-up focused on corrosion inhibitor detection technology, and as a Senior Scientist at LUX Assure Ltd, where Scott specialized in developing detection methods for the oil and gas industry while traveling globally to advance LUX's products. Earlier in Scott's career, a position as Senior Assistant Scientist at Charles River Laboratories involved working within the metabolism and mass spectrometry departments. Scott holds a Master of Science in Organic Synthesis from The University of Edinburgh and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Chemistry with Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Heriot-Watt University.
