Joe Furko is an accomplished Chief Operating Officer with extensive experience in the country club sector, currently serving at Scioto Country Club since January 2024. Previously, Joe held the position of COO/GM at Waynesborough Country Club from February 2019 to January 2024 and at Inverness Club from September 2014 to August 2018. Additional roles include COO/GM at Brookside Golf & Country Club from June 2006 to September 2014, and General Manager at Sylvania Country Club, where Joe achieved an 11% revenue increase and a 26% reduction in operating expenses. Joe began a career in management as General Manager at Orchard Hills Country Club from 1996 to 2000. Joe holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Management from Ashland University, earned in 1993.

Scioto Country Club
Scioto Country Club from its inception has always been an important part of the history of Upper Arlington and the city of Columbus. Opening in 1916 as a centerpiece of Upper Arlington, the Club is the focal point of a community that is one of the finest in the country. As James Hamill, one of the founding members stated at the Club’s opening, "Our Club, in time, will become one of the most important social centers of the community, and will constitute one of the show places of the city”. Today it stands as a pillar of the Upper Arlington Community, an important gathering place for family and friends, and a treasured part of the history of central Ohio. Over its 102 year history, Scioto has grown to include outstanding recreational facilities in addition to its warm clubhouse experience. A Club that supports the community that surrounds it, Scioto is truly our members’ home away from home.
