Andrew Long

Andrew Long has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Andrew is currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Therapeutics at Scipher Medicine since January 2023. Previously, they worked at Rheos Medicines as the Senior Vice President of Immunometabolism from September 2019 to October 2022, and also held the position of Vice President of Immunometabolism. Prior to that, they worked at AbbVie for thirteen years, starting in October 2006, where they held the role of Senior Principal Research Scientist. In this role, they were responsible for delivering candidates into clinical development, developing biomarkers, and understanding the mechanism of action of efficacy and toxicity. Andrew was also actively involved in mentoring and developing programs and staff. Before joining AbbVie, Andrew worked at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals as a Scientist, where they developed models to evaluate the efficacy of drug candidates and characterized molecular mechanisms related to respiratory diseases such as asthma and COPD. Andrew'stenure at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals spanned from 1991 to 2006.

Andrew Long has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Vermont. Andrew also holds a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the Boston University School of Medicine.
