Tarun Kumar

Tarun Kumar has extensive work experience in the maritime industry. Tarun began their career as a cadet at The Great Eastern Shipping Co. Ltd in 1989 and later held sailing positions at Wallem Shipmanagement Ltd. from 1995 to 2001. In 2002, they became a captain at OMI and continued in various sailing positions until 2004 when they took on the role of Operations Manager. From 2004 to 2007, Tarun worked at OMI / OMCI as an Operations Manager. Tarun then joined Teekay Shipping as a General Manager in 2007 and stayed until 2009. In 2009, they became the Managing Director at Scorpio Marine Management (I) Pvt. Ltd. Tarun then transitioned to Scorpio Tankers Inc. in 2016, where they served as Vice President of Vessel Operations. Additionally, in the same year, they took on the same role at Scorpio Bulkers Inc. until June 2021.

Tarun Kumar completed their HND Nautical Science degree in Maritime Studies at the School of Maritime Operations - Fleetwood from 2000 to 2001.
