James Fitzgerald has a diverse work experience in various industries. James started their career in 2011 as a Kitchen Staff at New England Keswick and worked there until 2012. In 2013, they worked as a Photographer at Greenwood Trails during the summer, responsible for photographing, filming, and leading campers. From 2014 to 2014, they worked as a Camp Counselor and Paintball Instructor at Hume Lake Christian Camps, where they guided campers and managed the paintball course. In 2015, they co-founded Vestigial Year, a monthly literature and arts magazine, where they were responsible for layout and production. James also worked as an Assistant Account Executive at HJMT Public Relations, Inc., where they worked on digital media production, writing, and event planning. From 2016 to 2017, they were a Graphic Designer at Driven Local. In 2017, they joined Scorpion as a Lead Designer. In 2019, they started working as a Freelance Designer at Really Good Graphics, focusing on assisting Mutual Aid organizations and offering services to organizations focused on social causes.

James Fitzgerald earned a Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communication from Hofstra University, where they studied from 2012 to 2016. Prior to their college education, James obtained a High School Diploma from Granby Memorial High School between 2009 and 2012. In addition to their formal education, they also hold certifications in NAUI Scuba from NAUI Diving LLC. and Ropes Course Certification from Greenwood Trails, although the specific dates of completion are not provided.
