Jennifer Maurer

Jennifer Maurer currently serves as Vice President of Business Controls & Oversight at Scotia Wealth Management, where responsibilities include providing strategic direction and oversight for risk-related initiatives in wealth management. Prior to this role, Jennifer worked at Scotiabank from 2007 to September 2022 as Senior Legal Counsel and Director, focusing on labor and employment advice for leadership and human resources, along with handling employment litigation and policy leadership. Earlier in their career, Jennifer practiced as a lawyer at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP from 1999 to 2007. Jennifer holds an LLB from Western University, an Executive Education Certificate in Mediating Disputes from Harvard Law School, and an Honours BA in English and Legal Studies from the University of Waterloo.
