Anique Asher

Anique Asher was appointed Executive Vice President, Finance & Strategy in November 2020. In this role she has responsibility for enterprise strategy, financial planning and forecasting, strategic project prioritization and delivery, finance support for the Corporate Functions as well as oversight for the global finance optimization initiative.

Anique joined the bank in 2018 as Senior Vice President, Planning, Analysis & Optimization. Before joining Scotiabank, Anique held roles of progressive seniority at multinational financial firms including Senior Vice President, Group Finance and Vice President, Investor Relations.

Anique is a Chartered Professional Accountant and holds an Honours undergraduate degree and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business. She is also a Director of Canada’s Ballet Jorgen.

Anique lives in Toronto with her husband and two sons.
