Karan Sejpal

Karan Sejpal, FRM, is an experienced finance professional currently serving as Senior Manager of xVA Product Control at Scotiabank since September 2018, previously holding the position of Manager in the same department. Responsibilities include daily P&L reporting and providing detailed P&L information to the Trading desk, Risk Management, and Finance. Prior to Scotiabank, Karan held various roles, including Team Leader for Valuation Control at Cognizant, focusing on price correlation testing and MarkIT submissions, and Analyst in the Global Valuation Group at Deutsche Bank, where daily and month-end independent price verification was conducted for equity products. Karan also worked as an Associate at SS&C GlobeOp, performing valuations of OTC derivative products with extensive use of third-party vendor applications. Karan holds a Master of Science in Finance from Illinois Tech Stuart School of Business and a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Mumbai.
