Sherry-Ann Sharma is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in tax management and compliance within the financial services sector. Since July 2017, Sherry-Ann has served as Director of Caribbean Tax at Scotiabank, focusing on Global Tax Risk Governance and Compliance Management, following a role as Senior Manager in International Tax. Prior to joining Scotiabank, Sherry-Ann worked at Ernst & Young LLP from January 2015 to July 2017 as a Tax Manager, specializing in tax services related to FATCA, QI, and the Common Reporting Standard (CRS). Sherry-Ann's career at Ernst & Young began in November 2006, progressing from Senior Accountant to Tax Manager. Sherry-Ann holds multiple prestigious qualifications, including an MBA from Heriot-Watt University, a CFE from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, an ACCA designation from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, and CPA certification from Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada.
