Mark Hallan

Mark Hallan is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in trade and investment, currently serving as Director of Global Investment at Scottish Development International since May 2019. Previous roles include Global Director of Strategic Relationships at Scottish Enterprise (2014-2016) and Senior Director for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa at Scottish Development International (2011-2014), where leadership was provided to secure inward investment and export growth across various sectors. Hallan also held positions in renewable energy and low carbon technologies, as well as development of trade links in India and Southeast Asia. Earlier career highlights include heading the GlobalScot program and managing business partnerships at Scottish Enterprise, alongside a Vice President role from 1997 to 2001. Mark Hallan received education from the University of Strathclyde.
