Manager Energy And Air Quality at Scottish Environment Protection Agency

Carolyn Vannan is an accomplished environmental manager with extensive experience in air quality and energy policy. At the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) since April 2013, Carolyn leads teams delivering the Energy Framework and oversees the regulation of the EU Emissions Trading Scheme, F-Gas/ODS, and other energy-related programs. Carolyn has also contributed to local air quality management and the implementation of government policy including the Cleaner Air for Scotland Strategy. Prior to this role, Carolyn served as Unit Manager for the Air Quality and Energy Unit, focusing on diverse technical areas related to carbon capture, local air quality, and legislative compliance. Carolyn's earlier positions include Principal Policy Officer at SEPA and Senior Policy Officer at the National Society for Clean Air. Carolyn holds a Master of Science in Environmental Management from the University of Stirling.
