Richard Brown is a Principal Scientist at the Scottish Environment Protection Agency, where work focuses on Hydrometry and Flood Risk Management. With extensive experience in hydrology since 1980, Richard has held several roles, including Head of Hydrology and Hydrology Unit Manager, overseeing services in northern Scotland and contributing to the expansion of hydrometric networks and flood warning schemes. Prior experience includes serving as a Hydrologist and Hydrological Technician at the Highland River Purification Board. Richard Brown completed studies at Newcastle University and the University of Aberdeen, following an earlier education at Robert Gordon's College.
