Alex Lowther

Head Of Site Engineering at ScottishPower

Alex Lowther has a diverse work experience in the energy and engineering industries. From January 2020 to the present, Alex has been the Head of Site Engineering at ScottishPower. In this role, Alex manages a team of Technical Specialists responsible for collecting, processing, analyzing, and integrating offshore windfarm site data. Alex also oversees the Wind Resource and Metocean, Ground Engineering and Geophysical Survey, and Geographical Information and Data teams.

Prior to joining ScottishPower, Alex worked at Arup from September 2008 to April 2021. During this time, Alex served as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer and a Geotechnical Engineer, gaining expertise in the geotechnical engineering field. Overall, Alex has a solid background in managing technical teams and ensuring the accurate collection and utilization of data in the energy and engineering sectors.

Alex Lowther earned a Master's degree in Civil Engineering from Newcastle University, from 2004 to 2008.
