Matthew Pittam

Matthew Pittam is an experienced communications professional currently serving as Head of Internal Communication at ScottishPower since August 2019. Previously, Matthew held various leadership roles at SSE plc, including Networks Head of Internal Communications and Brand, where responsibilities encompassed media relations, digital communications, and stakeholder engagement for SSEPD's networks businesses in Scotland. Prior to SSE, Matthew worked at Standard Life as Communications Manager and PR Manager, focusing on creating high-quality press materials and tailoring messages for diverse audiences. Matthew's earlier experience includes being an Account Manager at The BIG Partnership, delivering strategic PR campaigns, and training junior staff. Matthew holds a CIPR Diploma and has degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Politics from the University of the West of Scotland and University of Glasgow, respectively.
