Jane Rice

Jane Rice is an experienced professional in the fields of equalities, human rights, and monitoring and evaluation, currently serving as the Equalities and Human Rights Policy Manager at the Scottish Prison Service since January 2022. Prior to this role, Jane held various positions at Penal Reform International, including Strategy and Impact Manager, where responsibilities encompassed internal project evaluations and capacity building in monitoring and evaluation. Jane's career also includes significant contributions to Medical Aid for Palestinians as a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer and to DCAF as a Project Assistant focused on security sector reform in the Middle East. Additionally, experience includes research roles in child protection and human rights, coupled with academic qualifications from prestigious institutions such as the University of Oxford and participation in executive education at Columbia Business School.
