Marla Baird

Marla Baird is an experienced professional in the fields of equality, diversity, and inclusion, currently serving as Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Manager at the Scottish Qualifications Authority since February 2023. Previously, Marla held the roles of Wellbeing Manager and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Consultant at the University of the West of Scotland from April 2019. Marla's earlier experience includes positions as Social Science Lecturer and Equality & Inclusion Manager at Ayrshire College from August 2013 to April 2019, as well as HR Business Partner (Equalities & Staff Learning) and Service Leader (Inclusive Learning) at Kilmarnock College between January 2002 and April 2014. Marla holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) (Hons) in Social Sciences from Glasgow Caledonian University and a Master of Education (MEd) in Equality & Diversity from The Open University.
