James Wade

James Wade is an experienced professional in sports development and coaching with a strong background in rugby. As Senior Game Development Manager at Scottish Rugby Union since April 2014, James oversees coach development across the Edinburgh BT Sport Academy region, managing UKCC course delivery and implementing Coach Development Plans. Additionally, James serves as Head Coach for the men's rugby team at the University of Glasgow since August 2015. Previous roles include Rugby Development Officer at Perthshire Community Rugby Trust, where participation in rugby was increased through school and community programs, and Business Development Officer at Young Scot, managing commercial partnerships for a national charity. James began a career in education recruitment and international teaching, holding degrees in Sports Business Management and Sport Science with Management from Sheffield Hallam University and Loughborough University, respectively.
