Laura Young is an accomplished environmental advocate and researcher with extensive experience in climate activism and sustainability. Currently serving as an Earth Ambassador for the United Nations Association Scotland, Laura is involved in collaborative efforts to address climate change. As a PhD researcher at both Abertay University and the University of Dundee, Laura focuses on developing a blue-green infrastructure inclusivity framework to enhance Scotland’s resilience to climate change. Laura’s influence spans various platforms through the initiative Less Waste Laura, earning accolades such as Scottish Influencer of the Year in 2024. Additional roles include contributions to the BBC's sustainability projects, board membership with Circular Communities Scotland, and participation in Environmental Protection Scotland. Laura holds multiple degrees in environmental science and management from esteemed institutions, demonstrating a solid academic foundation in the field.
