Justin Stevens is a Partner at ScottMadden. Prior to joining ScottMadden, Justin was an Associate at Broad Axe Technology Partners, a start-up consulting firm offering technology solutions in the telemedicine and telehealth industries. At Broad Axe, Justin developed the initial business plan and performed market and value chain analyses for the telemedicine and health IT industries, including identifying revenue streams and segmenting products and customers. Justin also monitored and reported on health care policy developments as they affected the firm and industry. In addition, Justin developed partnerships in the state of Virginia and wrote a grant proposal resulting in an initial $200K contract for the company.

Before Broad Axe, Justin worked as Assistant Vice President at McGuireWoods Consulting, a public affairs consulting firm specializing in government relations and strategic communications. At McGuireWoods, Justin developed policy arguments against federal legislation that would have restructured the meat industry and persuaded Congress against passing the bill, saving a client over $2.4B in divestitures. Justin also coordinated meetings with members of Congress and developing issue papers against an FTC rule that would have significantly increased disclosure requirements for prepaid legal plans. In addition, Justin managed a $300K budget of a political action committee and made recommendations for donations to federal and state election campaigns and other fundraising committees. Justin also drafted issue memos, developed client presentations and responded to RFPs resulting in $204K worth of new business for the firm. Lastly, Justin advised a client on the management of its nonprofit foundation dedicated to funding scholarships and charitable gifts. Justin also wrote a regular column on political issues affecting senior citizens for publication in Voice of Experience magazine, a publication of the American Bar Association.
