Shane York, holding CISSP-ISSMP, CISA, and CRISC certifications, currently serves as the Director of Security Governance, Risk, and Compliance at Scout Motors Inc. since July 2023. Prior to this role, Shane was the Director of Privacy, Trust, and Security GRC at Workrise from April 2022 to July 2023 and held the position of Security Governance, Risk, and Compliance Technical Lead at Datadog from August 2021 to April 2022. Shane's extensive experience also includes serving as Senior Manager of Security Governance, Risk, and Compliance at Salesforce, and Manager/Senior Associate at Schellman & Company, LLC. Earlier career highlights include roles at Verizon as a Cyber Security Auditor & ISO 27001 Program Manager, at PwC as a Senior Associate in IT Security, Privacy, and Risk, and as a Senior Associate in Information Systems Auditing at Grant Thornton LLP. Shane earned a Master of Science in Management of Secure Information Systems from George Mason University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Japanese from Baruch College.
