Dave Chisholm

Dave Chisholm serves as the Past President and is actively involved in Astronomy Educational Outreach at the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada - Ottawa Centre since August 2015, where responsibilities include presenting sessions on astronomy for various youth and senior groups. Chisholm has held multiple leadership roles within the organization, including President and Vice President, and contributes by researching and presenting upcoming astronomical events. As a First Aid Instructor with St. John Ambulance since December 2020 and a dedicated leader within Scouts Canada since 2012, Chisholm has played significant community roles. Chisholm retired from XEROX Canada in March 2018 after a career as a Professional Services Solutions Consultant, which included technical programming and customer support, following earlier work as a Systems Analyst/Programmer at Mitel Corporation. Chisholm’s educational background includes a 3-year diploma in Electronic Engineering Technology from St. Lawrence College, completed in 1981.
