Director New Program Strategy at Scouts Canada

Heather Ferguson's work experience includes roles at various organizations. Heather worked at Scouts Canada from 2015, where they held positions such as Director of New Program Strategy and Council Relationship Manager. Prior to this, they worked at Hearth Place Cancer Support Centre where they served as Donations & Database Coordinator and Event Coordinator from 2012 to 2015. Heather also worked at Heart and Stroke Foundation as a Program Coordinator in 2010, and at the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation as a Run Coordinator for the CIBC Run for the Cure from 2007 to 2010. Lastly, they were an Event Services Coordinator at Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment from 2006 to 2008.

Heather Ferguson's education history is as follows:

From 1999 to 2003, Heather attended Bowmanville High School and obtained an Ontario Secondary School Diploma.

From 2003 to 2007, Heather attended Brock University, where they completed an Honours Bachelor of Sport Management degree with a focus on Business Management.

In 2022, Heather enrolled at Fleming College and is currently pursuing a Certificate in Human Resources Management, specializing in Human Resources Management and Services. The program is expected to be completed by 2023.

In addition to their formal education, Heather has obtained several certifications. In May 2019, they completed the Respect in Sport for Parents certification provided by Respect Group. Subsequently, in September 2020, they completed the COVID-19 Employee Health and Safety Training course offered by HRdownloads.

In the year 2022, Heather obtained two certifications. In June, they completed the Crucial Conversations for Accountability training provided by Crucial Learning. In October, they successfully completed the Food Safety and Kitchen Sanitation certification through Vector Training.

Looking ahead, Heather has obtained three certifications in the year 2023. In April, they completed the Building Sustainable Collaborations course from the Tamarack Institute for Community Engagement. In May, they completed the Indigenous Canada certification offered by the University of Alberta. In June, they completed the course on How Managers Create a Culture of Belonging offered by LinkedIn.
