Chris Rivera

Chris Rivera has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Chris'smost recent role is as the President and Operating Partner at SCP & CO, a private investment and fund management firm focused on emerging technology platforms. Prior to this, they served as a Board Member on the Advisory Board at Alef.

Before that, Rivera held multiple roles at Syniverse, including President of the Global Enterprise and SaaS Messaging Business, where they were responsible for significant revenue growth and profit increase. Chris also served as Group Vice President, Chief Technology Officer, and Head of Product Development, leading the company's digital transformation and global mobile engagement efforts.

Rivera was a member of The Carlyle Group CIO Council and Steering Committee from 2017 to 2020. Chris also had a long and successful tenure at Cisco, where they held various leadership positions, including Managing Director of CTO and Sales for the Americas Mobile and Web Providers division. Chris played a crucial role in driving business transformation and focusing on virtualization and cloud technologies.

In the early stages of their career, Rivera had roles at Joyent, Cerent Optical Networking (acquired by Cisco), DSC Communications (acquired by Alcatel-Lucent), and the US Navy, where they served as an Operations and Communications Officer.

Chris Rivera's education history includes a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from the United States Naval Academy.
