Lawrence Whitener

Lawrence Whitener is an accomplished Executive Producer and Director with extensive experience in film and theater, currently serving at DOG-e The Movie Studio since 2013 and as a Director for SAG-AFTRA since 2017. Whitener has directed multiple award-winning short films and screenplays, winning accolades such as "Best Actor" at the 2017 Baltimore 48-Hour Film Project and the 2019 Northern Virginia International Screenwriting Contest for "A Good Example." With a rich background in screenwriting, Whitener has produced 14 Final Draft scripts across various genres and worked on projects like "Consequential" and "Finding Grace," which earned recognition from film festivals. Whitener's diverse roles also include acting, judging for film festivals, and developing productions at Fairfax Public Access, while holding degrees from Virginia Commonwealth University and Yale University in Political Science, Government, Playwriting, and Screenwriting.
