Charlie Schroder has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Charlie currently holds the position of Head of Original Content Development & Publishing at Scribd since February 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Domestic Content Acquisition + New Verticals at Scribd starting from 2020.

Before joining Scribd, Charlie founded their own company called Charlie & Co. in 2009 and worked there until 2019. Charlie provided emerging market insights and strategic planning that created tangible value across various stakeholders. Charlie acted as a catalyst for revitalizing legacy brands and businesses by articulating and implementing vision for early-stage technology entrepreneurs and organizational leaders.

From 2005 to 2009, Charlie held the role of Vice President of Marketing, Licensing & Development at Candlewick Press, a global children's book publisher. Charlie led the digital transition of the company and spearheaded cross-functional team development.

Charlie also worked at braze: brand development as a principal from 2003 to 2006. In this role, they collaborated with various partners such as Fox Feature Animation, Viacom, and Discovery Kids on branding and storytelling projects. Charlie also significantly grew sales and increased annual BrandHealth sales during their tenure.

Prior to that, Charlie served as the Vice President at Creek & River Agency, where they led the USA office launch and strategic planning for the largest talent management agency in Asia. Charlie worked closely with key partners such as Sony, Dentsu, and SEGA.

Charlie has also held positions at MegaMags Inc. as VP of Business Development in 2000 and at Protozoa as Business Development, Licensing & Sponsorship Sales in 1999. Charlie'sinitiatives in the latter role resulted in securing $15M Series D financing for the animation studio.

Charlie Schroder has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Communication, Journalism, and Related Programs from Northwestern University.
