Aarif Khakoo

Aarif Khakoo currently serves as the Chief Scientific Officer at Scribe Therapeutics since December 2023 and holds the position of Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine since April 2011. Previous roles include Chief Medical Officer and Head of Drug Development at Calico Life Sciences until July 2023, and various leadership positions at Amgen from May 2011 to February 2019, including Vice President of Global Development and Head of Translational Medicine. Additionally, Aarif Khakoo has been a member of the Advisory Council at Princeton University's Lewis-Sigler Institute for Integrative Genomics from July 2017 to October 2023 and served on the Board of Directors for BayBio from August 2014 to June 2016. Academic qualifications include a Fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, an MBA from Columbia Business School, and an M.D. from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, complemented by a BSE in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University.
