Alison Su has a diverse work experience in the field of scientific research. Alison is currently employed as a Scientist at Scribe Therapeutics since May 2023. Prior to that, they worked at the University of California, Berkeley in various roles. From April 2022 to May 2023, they were an Assistant Project Scientist, and from September 2021 to April 2022, they served as a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Herr lab. From March 2017 to August 2021, they held the position of Graduate Student Researcher in the Herr Lab.
Alison also gained experience at the University of California, San Francisco as a Rotation Student in the Kortemme Lab from January 2017 to March 2017. Alison further expanded their knowledge by working as a Rotation Student in the Sohn Lab at the University of California, Berkeley from September 2016 to December 2016.
Alison Su has also contributed to research projects outside of the university setting. Alison worked as a Predoctoral Researcher at Adimab, LLC from July 2014 to July 2016. Additionally, they participated in a project at the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth from September 2013 to March 2014, where they focused on developing a device to detect S. aureus.
Furthermore, Alison Su engaged in educational programs and internships for skill development. Alison participated in a Short Term Educational Program (STEP) towards a Digestive & Metabolic Physiology Fellowship at the University of Michigan from June 2012 to August 2012. At the same institution, they undertook a Skeletal Tissue Engineering Internship from December 2011 to March 2012. Alison also conducted research as a James O. Freedman Presidential Scholar at Dartmouth College from June 2011 to December 2011. In addition, they gained experience in Skeletal Tissue Engineering through another internship at the University of Michigan from June 2010 to August 2010.
Alison Su completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Engineering Sciences with a bioengineering focus from Dartmouth College, achieving Summa Cum Laude honors, in the period from 2009 to 2013. Alison then pursued further studies at the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth, obtaining a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Engineering Sciences with a bioengineering focus from 2013 to 2014. In 2016, Alison Su enrolled at the University of California, Berkeley, where they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Bioengineering in the year 2021.
