Shyamali Jayashankar

Shyamali Jayashankar has worked in various roles in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries since 2013. Shyamali began their career as an Intern at Bioklone Biotech Private Limited, where they handled small animals and isolated polyclonal antibodies from their blood. Shyamali then worked as an Intern at apex laboratories pvt ltd, where they performed random tablet sampling and HPLC under Quality control. In 2015, they worked as a Grading Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant at Penn State University, where they designed experiments to evaluate the efficacy of pipeline drugs against tumor cells. In 2016, they were a Research Intern at the Naval Medical Research Center (NMRC). In 2017, they were a Researcher Associate at BERG Health, where they negotiated prices of cell analysis kits for the immuno-oncology department. From 2018-2022, they worked as a Senior Scientist and Research Scientist at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR). Currently, they are a Program Manager at Scribe Therapeutics.

Shyamali Jayashankar has a diverse educational background. Shyamali obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Biotechnology from Anna University in 2015, followed by a Master's Degree in Biotechnology from Penn State University in 2016. In 2020, they completed certifications in R Programming and Data Scientist's Toolbox from Coursera. In addition, they received BSL 2 training from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention in 2016 and Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI Program) for Responsible Conduct of Research from the University of Miami in 2015. Currently, they are pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business.
