Joshua Hurwitz

Medical Director at Scribe-X

Joshua Hurwitz has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Joshua started their career as a Resident Physician at Albany Medical Center in 2008 and worked there until 2011. From 2011 to 2020, they served as an Attending Physician. In 2012, Joshua became the Medical Director at Scribe-X, a position they currently hold. In 2018, they also became the Medical Director at See You at the Summit, where they use wilderness therapy to help teenagers with cancer reclaim their lives. Lastly, since 2020, Joshua has been serving as the Vice Chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine at PeaceHealth.

Joshua Hurwitz received a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Philosophy from New York University from 1994 to 1998. Following that, they attended Oregon Health and Science University School of Medicine from 2004 to 2008 where they obtained their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. Finally, they pursued further education in the field of Emergency Medicine at Albany Medical College from 2008 to 2011 through their Residency Program.
