About this role

We believe our top talent is one of our key differentiators at Scribe.  We’re growing quickly and hiring opportunistically for a generalist rockstar to join our team as Chief of Staff. As we enter our next phase of growth, massively expanding our scale, the CEO and Founder needs a partner to help drive performance and execution across the company.

You’ll work directly with our executive team and CEO, helping us execute on our strategic initiatives (likely within our GTM function), managing special projects, and ensuring smooth operations within the organization. Your role will likely evolve quickly, based on your interests, the needs of the business, and the working relationship you develop with various leaders.  This is an opportunity to work on a variety of high-impact projects, perhaps even across functions. This is a hands on, action oriented, and impact driven CoS role.

In the past, folks in this role have gone on to create a permanent role for themselves embedded in our GTM or product orgs.  We view this as an opportunity for really special talent to join us and have a rare purview across the business.

Examples of what you’ll be doing

While this role will remain highly dynamic and open-ended, here is a flavor of what you could be working on…

  • Own strategic projects aligned with the CEO’s top priorities, partnering with other senior leaders to deliver results for the business
  • You will act as a force multiplier for the entire executive team, driving meeting effectiveness and preparedness, ensuring follow-through, and improving how we make our most important decision
  • Assist in the development and execution of organizational initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness
  • Help translate our strategy into concrete, achievable goals
  • Identify and address potential bottlenecks or challenges hindering the achievement of strategic objectives, implementing proactive solutions to mitigate risks
  • Conduct user research to support product and operations prioritization
  • Facilitate communication and coordination among various departments to ensure alignment with company objectives and priorities
  • Serve as a liaison between the CEO and other stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and ensuring timely communication of key updates and initiatives

You could be a great fit if

You'll find yourself seamlessly integrated into our team if you possess a natural inclination for rapid learning, swiftly tackling any challenge and discerning its core elements. Your entrepreneurial mindset is evident in your proactive approach, always eager to seize opportunities, take calculated risks, and learn from every experience. Your humility shines through in your work; you hold a strong sense of ownership, readily embracing tasks and employing resourcefulness and ingenuity to overcome obstacles.

With your exceptional critical thinking and analytical skills, you deconstruct complex problems into manageable components, driving effective and sustainable solutions forward. Adapting to the ever-changing landscape of a startup environment is second nature to you, as you thrive amidst flux and uncertainty, maintaining composure and focus. Your ability to cultivate deep trust amongst leaders, partners, and team members alike is unparalleled; you fearlessly confront important issues and excel in active listening.

Your client presence exudes confidence, establishing peer-like relationships even with the most senior stakeholders. Your comprehensive understanding of the SaaS customer lifecycle, coupled with your innate ability to embody the "voice of the customer," enables seamless collaboration across sales, product, and marketing teams for exceptional customer experiences.

This role presents an exciting opportunity for those seeking to make a tangible impact within a rapidly expanding, venture-backed software company. Your commitment to personal and professional growth is unwavering; feedback is embraced, and continual improvement is your mantra.
