Scripps Research
Rotimi Omorodion is a Postdoctoral Associate at Scripps Research since February 2025, previously serving as a Scientist I at aTyr Pharma from March 2023 to January 2025, where responsibilities included advancing the discovery pipeline through structural, molecular, and cell biology methods as well as biophysics. Prior to that, Rotimi held two roles at Scripps Research from August 2015 to March 2023, conducting doctoral research under Prof. Ian Wilson while also contributing to the Professional Skills Development Committee to enhance student experiences and academic success. In addition, Rotimi worked as a Teaching Assistant for the Structural Biology Boot Camp, supporting graduate students in learning molecular graphics software. Rotimi's earlier experience includes positions at the University of Richmond, where mentoring and research in computational chemistry were significant components, culminating in a Ph.D. in Structural Biology from Scripps Research and a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Richmond.
