Dave Maurer

Dave Maurer has extensive work experience spanning over several years in various industries. Dave started their career in the United States Air Force as an Administrative Specialist from 1988 to 1993. Following this, they worked at Old Chicago Restaurants as a Supervisor/Bartender for a significant period of time, from 1994 to 2010.

In 2010, Dave transitioned into the IT industry, working as a Senior IT Recruiter at Equity Staffing Group from 2010 to 2011. Dave then served as the Director of Delivery at Veriant Solutions from 2012 to 2013, overseeing the recruitment and training processes.

Dave later took a break from the corporate world and pursued their passion for the outdoors by working at REI as an Outdoor Enthusiast from 2014 to 2015. Dave then joined the Turing School of Software & Design as a student from 2015 to 2016, where they gained expertise in various technologies, including Ruby, Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, and HTML.

After completing their studies, Dave worked as a Software Developer at Pure Charity in 2016, focusing on providing technology solutions for nonprofits. Currently, they hold the position of a Software Developer at Scrum Alliance, which they started in February 2018.

Throughout their career, Dave has demonstrated their dedication and versatility, acquiring experience in administration, recruiting, training, and software development.

From 2015 to 2016, Dave Maurer attended the Turing School of Software & Design. Dave completed a 7-month program totaling over 2000 course hours and graduated by assessment with a score of 87%. Dave'seducation at Turing focused on software development with an emphasis on Ruby, Rails, TDD, and JavaScript.
