Stu Mitchell has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of agile delivery and project management. Stu is currently the CEO of RedAgile, a role they have held since 2018. Stu is also a Certified Scrum Trainer for Scrum Alliance since the same year.

Prior to their current role, Stu Mitchell worked as a Consultant Agile Delivery at Commonwealth Bank from 2016 to 2018, where they were involved in pioneering areas within the bank's software development. Before that, they served as the Agile Practice Lead at AMP - Global Banking & Investments from 2015 to 2016, where they built an infrastructure that facilitated impressive results for core projects.

From 2010 to 2015, Mitchell worked as the Global Head of Agile at HSBC, based in the UK and Hong Kong. In this role, they managed major flagship program streams and led the transition of HSBC from traditional Waterfall SDLC to Agile Scrum. Stu also served as the Transformation Director, where they successfully delivered a new series of equity/bond-based products and established the first Agile project within HSBC.

Prior to HSBC, Mitchell worked as a Consultant Agile Coach at Man Group, the largest hedge fund in the world, from 2006 to 2008. Stu provided Agile instruction and mentoring to Scrum teams and stakeholders in the UK and Switzerland. Stu also coached teams on code quality and MVP delivery frequency.

Before that, Mitchell worked as a Change Program/Agile Coach at Permal Capital Management (formerly Fauchier Partners) from 2005 to 2006, where they delivered rapid development and implementation techniques to hedge funds. Stu also developed and delivered a new client/fund system called Fund radar.

Mitchell's earlier experience includes roles such as Program Manager at Scottish Widows from 2003 to 2005 and Equities Trader and Portfolio Manager at UBS from 1995 to 2003, where they specialized in banking, insurance, utilities, and retail stocks. At UBS, they also served as the Product Owner and Business Sponsor of a new Research Database System.

Stu Mitchell, CST, has an education history that includes various degrees and certifications. Stu obtained a Financial Modelling Research degree from the University of Edinburgh Business School and a Graduate Diploma in Finance and Investment from the University of Melbourne. Stu also holds a BA (Hons) degree in Information Studies & Computing from Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh, Scotland.

In terms of certifications, Stu Mitchell has completed the Certified Scrum Master (CSM) program offered by the Scrum Alliance in 2008. Stu is also certified as a Certified Scrum Product Owner and a Certified Scrum Professional. Additionally, they hold the title of Certified Scrum Trainer (CST) from the Scrum Alliance. Stu Mitchell has further certifications from organizations such as FINSIA and the Australian Institute of Banking and Finance.

In terms of additional training, Stu Mitchell has completed an Instructor - Advanced Agile Techniques course and has expertise in Agile working with Offshore teams, Agile Case Studies, Agile 3rd Party Legal Contacts, Estimation, Creation of an MVP, and Good Stand-ups. Stu also has knowledge in Prince 2 and the SAFe - Scaled Agile Framework.
