Gabe Cohen

Gabe Cohen is a staff professional at SCS Engineers since January 2024, previously serving as an engineer for solid waste permitting at the Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy from July 2021 to December 2023. In that role, Gabe analyzed operational and design plans for various solid waste facilities and guided owners through the renewal process. Prior experience includes work as a graduate research assistant at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where a pilot-scale biological treatment system was designed, along with data collection related to landfills. Additional internships at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln involved document management, while experience at the City of Columbus Wastewater Plant focused on daily operations and water sampling. Gabe holds a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Biological Systems Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Gabe is also an Engineer Intern recognized by the State of Nebraska Board of Engineers and Architects.
