Sowmya Bulusu

Sowmya Bulusu is an accomplished civil engineer with extensive experience in solid waste management, environmental engineering, and construction. Currently serving as Vice President and Solid Waste Director for the Southeast Region at SCS Engineers since April 2017, Sowmya has held multiple leadership roles within the company. Prior experience at Geosyntec Consultants spanned from October 2005 to March 2017, with expertise in environmental, geotechnical, and civil engineering projects related to waste disposal facilities and landfill management. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Civil Engineering with a focus on Geoenvironmental Engineering from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University. Additionally, Sowmya has experience as a Graduate Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at the University of Maryland.
