Anya Balbona

Anya Balbona is a Technical Specialist in Responsible Biofuels at SCS Global Services, where employment commenced in October 2023. Previous experience includes working as a Project Engineer at Carbon America from September 2021 to May 2023, and as an Engineering Assistant at Lumen Technologies between April 2020 and September 2021. Anya began a career in the service industry at Zolo Grill as a Server from May 2017 to April 2020. Academic contributions include a senior project at the University of Colorado Boulder, which involved collaborating on a cost-benefit analysis for supercritical CO2 extraction in partnership with Xabis Inc., and participation in a project to upscale a PVC processing plant focused on efficiency. As an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Colorado Boulder from August 2016 to May 2017, Anya conducted experiments involving mice neurons and hydrogels to simulate nerve damage. Anya earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2019.
