Yingqiong Gu has worked in the software engineering industry since 2002. yingqiong began their career at Cequint, Inc. as an engineer, where they worked to improve the app performance in Google mobile android platform. In 2008, they joined Microsoft as a SDE in the Anti-virus Research Group, where they developed tools for malware handling in C# coding and applied probabilistic, machine learning and data mining techniques to build models. From 2011 to 2019, Yingqiong Gu worked at eBay Inc. as a software engineer, where they wrote backend response for eBay shopping carts Page, supported front and back end of shopping carts, and improved the performance of the cart shopping process. From 2019 to 2021, they worked at Facebook as a software engineer, where they implemented Rest Service for Big Data analysis, wrote Python code for implementing AI code to Power Performance, and worked with Data scientists for SCUBA Model implementation. Currently, Yingqiong Gu is a Senior Software Engineer at SCYTHE.

Yingqiong Gu obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Physics from Shanghai Jiao Tong University between 1996 and 2000. yingqiong then went on to obtain a PhD in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from the University of Notre Dame between 2002 and 2007.
