Tarek Matar has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Tarek started their career at TOLEDO Electrical & Mechanical Works Company LLC, where they served as the Director of Strategy, Finance & Administration from January 2016 to July 2021. Prior to that, they held the position of Director of Finance, Administration & HR from October 2006 to January 2016 in the same company.

In 2021, Tarek joined Yellowknife & Partners as a Partner and later became the Managing Partner - MENA in October 2022. In this role, they focused on managing and integrating growth-driven initiatives through strategic alliances and partnerships. Tarek specialized in financial planning, business growth strategy, mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures management, strategic investments, and organizational digital transformation. Tarek also positioned clients as preferred alliance partners.

In 2022, Tarek joined SDG Group as a Business Development professional, where they worked on business development initiatives.

Tarek also had a role in Euthalia srl in 2022, where they served as a Business Development professional. In this role, they were responsible for strategic planning and market development of a patented technology aimed at preventing damage from surges and lightning. Euthalia designs, manufactures, and installs Lightning & Surge Protection systems for various applications, including commercial, industrial, residential, and marine projects.

Tarek Matar has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management from the New York Institute of Technology. Tarek also studied Economics at Carleton University. Prior to their higher education, Tarek attended the American Community School of Abu Dhabi. In terms of additional certifications, they have obtained a certification in Digital Skills - Artificial Intelligence from Accenture in February 2021, Negotiation Mastery from Harvard Business School Online in August 2020, and completed the Accounting & Finance 1 & 2 Program (Finance Module) from the Smith School of Business at Queen's University in February 2008.
