Patricia Rodrigues

Patricia Rodrigues has a diverse and extensive work experience. Patricia is currently working as an Engagement Manager at Strategic Decisions Group (SDG), where they collaborate with companies and organizations to assess decision-making processes using a systematic and quantitative approach. Patricia applies decision analysis techniques to help organizations make complex decisions and achieve alignment within the organization.

Prior to SDG, Patricia worked at SeisPetro as a Petrophysical and Geoscience Advisor. In this role, they specialized in petrophysical properties modeling and mapping, utilizing large datasets to create calibrated regional models. Patricia excelled in petrophysical evaluations using multimineral analysis and rock physics concepts, with expertise in conventional and unconventional basins in the US and internationally.

Patricia also has a comprehensive background in the oil and gas industry. Patricia served as the Director of G&G & Exploration and Reservoir Characterization Manager at Whiting Petroleum Corporation, where they provided support and guidance in petrophysics, geomechanics, and geophysics. Patricia allocated staff to different projects, ensured quality control, and oversaw the application of petrophysical technologies.

In addition, Patricia has held positions at institutions such as the Colorado School of Mines, Newfield Exploration, DRM ENERGY CORP, IRESERVOIR.com, Inc, TRICON GEOPHYSICS, Inc, PDVSA - Intevep, and PDVSA- Intevep. Patricia'sroles included researching the influence of viscoelastic behavior of heavy oils, developing petrophysical models, evaluating oil and gas prospects, and performing geostatistical studies.

Patricia Rodrigues obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Simón Bolívar from 1991 to 1996. Patricia then pursued a Specialist degree in Reservoir Engineering at the same university from 1998 to 1999. In 1999, they completed their Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Simón Bolívar. Finally, Patricia earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Geophysics, with a minor in Petroleum Engineering, from Colorado School of Mines from 2010 to 2014.
