Jose Garcia has dedicated over 35 years to the transit industry, with a significant tenure at the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) since 1988. As the Shop Supervisor Maintenance for San Diego transit, Jose oversees the preventive maintenance program, conducting inspections at various mileage intervals. Prior to this role, Jose served as a Maintenance Foreman and Maintenance Shop Foreman. With plans to retire after 27 years at MTS, Jose aims to pursue travel. Earlier in their career, Jose worked in maintenance at Atkinson Marnie from 1978 to 1988. Jose holds an Associate's degree in Psychology and Criminal Law from Southwestern College, having graduated from Horace Mann High School.
