Diego Castillo Gutierrez

Diego Castillo Gutierrez has a diverse range of work experience in the maritime industry. Diego is currently serving as the Managing Director at Sea & Ports MGM since April 2020. Previously, they worked at MARGUISA SHIPPING LINES where they held multiple roles including Deputy General Manager, Chief of Exploitation, Business Development for emerging markets, and Commercial Manager. In these positions, they focused on implementing policies and procedures, leading functional teams, identifying and recruiting staff, and driving business objectives. Diego also served as a Line Operator for RORO and MPV services to West Africa. Additionally, Diego worked as a Business Development Manager at Iberian Offshore, where they introduced a new sales strategy and conducted market research. Diego has experience as a Shipbroker in the Chartering department at MONTANMAR SHIPBROKERS and as a Shareholder at STARCAP INVESTMENTS LTD. Diego began their career as a Naval Architect at ASTICAN. Diego's work experience reflects their expertise in management, business development, sales, and the maritime industry as a whole.

Diego Castillo Gutierrez completed a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from IESE Business School from 2014 to 2016. Prior to their MBA, they earned a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid from 2003 to 2010. Diego also obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) and a Master of Engineering (ME) degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the same institution from 2003 to 2009.
